Flagstaff Green Chili Stand
Above: The stand out in front of Farmer's Market in 2002 sellin' New Mexico Green Chilies - people from hundreds of miles in every direction come out for these dumb things...although I have to say, they're excellent!
This stand is usually open from late July to early September and is located on the corner of 4th Street and Second Street just North of Route 66 (seen in the background).
The new bridge over the tracks should be finished before 2025 (a little sarcasm).

BMX Mid Air 360 While Jumpin' A Gap
Above: Ryan Letcher doin' a 360 in mid air while jumpin' a gap at the Flagstaff, AZ BMX bike park (Click here to check out the new bike park). Picture depicts him in backwards position during the spin--that is to say he's actually traveling from left to right in the video.

Fossil Creek Hot Springs Lightning
Above: The first time I successfully caught lightning in a photograph. I have to volunteer the fact that I left the shutter wide open during a monsoon at Fossil Creek Hot Springs while camping there...So I kinda cheated.
BMX and Sk8 Board Hill
Above: This is a shot taken from the East side of Mars Hill looking North in Flagstaff, Arizona. This is a killer hill to ride down on a bike or skate board!

Ridin' My Bike To Collins Tonight
Above: I'm ridin' my mountain bike to catch up to some friends who are going to Collins Pub & Grill in Flagstaff, AZ tonight for St. Patricks Day 2006. Should be a great time.

Where Few Bicycles Roam
Above: This shot is not a bikers typical view. That is to say, the stretch between the Grand Canyon and Valle, AZ, which is where this shot was taken, is a 25 minute drive with no services in between.
Just a special few bicyclists trek down this path.
I was using a special filter on my digital camera for this shot. It gives the picture a burnt sienna look.

Sunset On Our Bikes
Above: On my bike one afternoon with "Chauser" (Sam Quick), I took this picture of the sunset that was taking place at the time. This is along the road that takes you to Buffalo Park off of Cedar Avenue in Flagstaff, AZ.

Another Burning Bush

The Burning Bush
Above: I like to think this bush is something like Moses experienced on the top of Mount Ararat (sp?) during his first encounter with the Great "I AM."
Who knows, it could have been like this. It would have been cool to watch the whole scene take place, ya know?
This is actually a bush/tree on top of one of the mounts that lead up to the Sedona airport in Arizona. From this mount-top you can get a great view of the whole city of Sedona.
If you're a visitor to Sedona, you might consider driving half-way up Airport Road and pulling off to the side and hiking to the top of this mount for a killer view. You'll see a spot to pull over and will probably have to fight for a parking spot in the dirt.

Space Ship?
Above: Bell rock just out side of Sedona, AZ--in Village Of Oak Creek, AZ.
Years ago, back in the 1980's (supposedly) a flock of guru types gathered a bunch of people together to hold hands and chant around Bell Rock with the expectation of watching a space ship emerge from under the landmark. Needless to say, nothing happened, but it's an interesting story to tell.

The Shagster On His 4 Wheel Bike
Above: Shaggy (Jason D.) sittin' proud on his quad out on Leupp Road with Flagstaff's San Francisco Peaks in the background.
That day was the first day Shaggy and I hung out. I took a butt-load of pictures that day, some of which I'll probably add to this phlog later.
The day couldn't have been any nice either. Notice not a cloud for miles, bright sunshine in the middle of spring 2004. Ahhhhh, but to be out there on my mountain bike!

Willow's Artwork
Above: This shot of a work created by Willow Wright, my best friend's cousin, is of course of Drew Barrymore. It hung in the apartment I shared with a buddy Jarod Sears at the Pines At University in Flagstaff, AZ back in 1999-2000.
I positioned the clipper ship and the candle-holder I made for a better effect visually. I hope you like my rendition of Willow's work.

On The Edge!
Above: One of the many walkways to the edge of the Grand Canyon at the South Rim.
A note to those who like to ride their bikes: there are many places to ride, but stay off the main drag cause most everybody is looking at other things other than the road, trust me on that.
Do what you want, but it's pretty dangerous up there.
The majority of the vegetation is made up of Juniper, many varieties of Pine, Pinion, Cedar, Aspen, spruce and more.

Bike Ridin' Sunset
Above: A monsoon sunset over an office building parking lot we passed while riding our mountain bikes around town.
My favorite part about this picture is the color the lights give off with the contrasting background.
Blue and orange are oposite colors, so it's especially cool lookin'.
This was a day that Mike, Sam and I were ridin' around on our bikes. Mike was on his BMX, Sam was on his Kona hard tail mountain bike and I was on my full suspension mountain bike.
Picture circa August 2005.

A Real Sunrise?
Above: Yes! This is an undoctored and very real sunrise picture I took one VERY early morning. The day turned out to be a great day to ride a bike, despite what the morning looked like. You know, the old "red sky in the morning, sailor take warning" thang.
That old addage is so old that it has passed down the generations from the day when crossing the Atlantic was possible only by Clipper Ship (as early as 1400's!
